When I graduated in 2011, I heard of a hospital in McAllen, TX offering $15,000 sign on bonus. Still not enough to make me move that close to the border lol

I was really exhausted back in October-ish, but its mostly passed now. I work nights and it never seemed to bother me at work... Just at home on my days off. It's much better now though!

I came to work on the 26th and had an Xmas card signed by our management staff and a mini candy cane. The techs got full sized candy canes, we got mini candy canes. lol

1. Unpaid with FMLA. I did find out you can use short term disability if you have it, but I didn't know this until about 2 weeks after our open enrollment for benefits, so I missed out. I did talk to HR and they said to stretch out my PTO when the ...

I graduated with an ADN and didn't find a job for 8-9 months because of it. Everywhere I applied wanted BSN nurses. I finally got a job at a smaller community hospital that was still hiring ADNs. I'm now working on my BSN so I can hopefully get on at...
I'm in Texas on a med/surg floor at night.... Typically our ratio is 5:1 or 6:1 (usually 6:1). But it's not unheard of to have 7:1 at night (I did the other night). We don't start out with 7, but if we keep getting admissions, usually 1-2 end up with...

I work med/surg at a smaller hospital in the DFW area. As a new grad, I started at 25/hr. And then I'm night shift, so that's an extra $4/hr, and then $6/hr weekend diff. Working a weekend night is pretty sweet pay for a new grad lol :)
