   yes, the trick does work. took my boards on 10/08/11, stopped at the 140th question, went home and checked online, and it lead me to the cc payment page. i got my official results a few days later in the mail and it confirmed that i didn't pass. =(

   @Iammaj28 - I applied at the Hawaii BON. The rep told me that I didn't need to submit another application form and fee, as they still had my app on file and will only charge the fee once I pass the exam albeit that I have to complete it in two years...
