I recently took my NCLEX and unfortunately I failed. The devastation I felt was horrible! Today I just registered to retake the exam, and now I'm wondering if I did it the wrong way. I just need some clarification on a few things, and I thought you guys would be more helpful because I couldn't understand PV's customer service rep.
First, the question where it asked "Have you ever taken an NCLEX exam to qualify for the same license?" I could've sworn I put "No" but it checked "Yes." Is this correct?
Second, I think I might've put the wrong program code when I re-registered. For the program code, I put the code for re-entry/board request. Is this wrong or should I have put the code of the university that I graduated from? If so, could it be changed before I receive my ATT?
Lastly, I didn't receive an app form from my BON when they mailed my results. The paper that they gave stated that they have my app on file for two years to complete the licensing process. But PV's customer service rep told me that I needed to apply again to the BON for them to give me an ATT. Who's right in this case?
Thank you for taking the time to read through this, and I really would appreciate the help! :)

I know how u feel I just got my result HAS NOT PASSED!!! Anyway, what state did u apply?..coz I apply in California BON and I called them to clarify how to reapply..you need to call the BON of state that you apply b4 u apply in PV..
@Iammaj28 - I applied at the Hawaii BON. The rep told me that I didn't need to submit another application form and fee, as they still had my app on file and will only charge the fee once I pass the exam albeit that I have to complete it in two years.
I called PV's customer service three times to update the program code on my registration form and each time I got a different answer, which made me more confused and frustrated. So finally, I went ahead and just chatted with a rep online. And let me tell you, it was so much easier and they updated the program code! One phone agent told me that I had to contact my BON to get the program code, re-register and pay the $200 again to change the code, and I'll be refunded the $200 that I payed the first time I re-registered. All this time I'm thinking PV has a no refund policy.
I'm still unsure about the first question though.

Hi, First thank you for your question; I am in the same dilemma.
I took the test and failed a year ago and put NLCEX on the back burner when my husband battling CA. Now, today specifically, I took the courage to try and register for a retest.
I'm applying for BON Hawaii and don't know what and where to start. I had an agency , while I was still in the Philippines, did the processing for me. Like you, my result did not specify for reapplication. I read somewhere that for Hawaii, you go ahead and fill in request at Pearsonvue. I thought of doing this today. And like you, I'm stuck with that to put on that program code. What did you use? I finished my BSNursing degree in the Philippines.
Be so grateful if you could help. Thank you.

Not sure about Hawaii BON but in Texas i had to pay for the exam and also pay for the license fee again. You have to go the place you originally filed for the your license and do it again it will ask you for the pymt. According to NCLEX csr in Texas you will not get your ATT letter until you reapply for you license. I paid for my exam and a couple of months later I paid for the license fee and I then rcvd my ATT to schedule. Hope this helps. Good Lucks guys my exam is coming up soon!!
