I am an OB nurse, pregnant for the first time at age 34. I have taken care of several patients admitted with hyper emesis and I always dread it. Wouldn't you know it, at 16 weeks I am admitted to my floor due to dehydration and hyper emesis. I though...
  2. Pushing Instructions

This might be a silly question, but how do you educate/instruct your pts. on pushing? I have been on L&D for a year and I still feel like I could say things differently. I work at a rural hospital where most have epidurals, legs in stirrups... et...

  8. Hi, I am Tae. I graduated in May 2006 with my BSN and I went right to work on an OB floor in a level 3 perinatal center. I did my OB clinical in a very small rural hospital where it seemed as if all pts. were happy, healthy, and problem free. There w...

  10. 265 questions! I feel sick!

Take my word for it, you would not feel any better if you walked out after 75. When my computer shut off after 75 this morning I completely freaked! I wanted MORE questions believe it or not. I just did not feel like I proved myself yet. So, like the...
  11. I too am freaking out

I have been reading everyones post and it seems as if they freaked out for nothing:) (I am so happy for you) But that is not reassuring me. I took the nclex this morning. It shut off after 75 questions and I sat there totally stunned. I could not mov...
  12. Job interview in the OR

Thank you. The interview went well and she seemed thrilled that I thought so highly of her staff. She asked me if I wanted to spend a day shadowing a circulating nurse. I said yes and we scheduled a day. I think that is a good sign. I am keeping my f...

Thanks for the advice/pep talk. I only hope I come out as confident as you seem to have. I guess worrying about it is not going to get me anywhere.
