This is coming from a male - a male RN is probably not a good fit for L&D for many reasons - primarily it makes many women (and their significant others) uncomfortable. perhaps try NICU or peds.

Agreed with Table for 9 - plus I personally don't think males should be in L&D. It makes most of the female patients (particularly their male counterparts) uncomfortable.
best wishes with your career endeavors - you may need to do more research - informational interviews specifically. BTW, law - especially in front of a judge/jury can be extremely subjective despite the best evidence. . .
