This is a question for those who are already Nurses...... Can you really live comfortable on a Nurses' Salary????? When reading this website and I hear alot about being a Nurse. But noone has ever made any "positive" comments on the pay of Nurses. At work, I hear alot of the Nurses saying. If only they paid me more. If only I had more money. Or I have "got" to pull an extra shift for me to have a good paycheck. I am currently in Nursing School and I am just assuming that when I graduate I would be able to live "Comfortable" off of a Nurses" Salary and I know it depends on your area as far as pay. My question again is ... Can you really libe "comfortable" off a Nurses' pay or am I assuming wrong!!! Comfortable meaning a "nice" home "nice car etc...etc..Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!!!

At the hospital where I am employed, we have both 7-3,3-11,11-7 shifts and 12 hour shifts. It just depends on what floor you work on.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a book or website that could help with careplans?????? In our clinical rotation we now have 4 patients. I think if I had a book it would be a little more helpful when I am trying to come up with different Nursing Implementations, not to mention diagnosis, goals, rationale, Ha ha EVERYTHING> HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello Everyone!

I am a single parent in Nursing School.Currently, I am working in a 7on/7off positon as a nursing assisstant on the 11-7 shift.Although I am maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A., I have decided to work in a flex position(due to my school load) which will allow me more flexibilty with school and my child but I will loose insurance. I would like to know what others are doing in a situation like mine??? Did anyone go through the same thing? What did some of you do for extra money while in school? Did any of you have of you have to drop insurance and maybe pick up a state insurance program? All positive comments would be appreciated greatly!!!!
