Thank you all for your post and for the user roser13 this is not a job application and I DONOT have to explain myself to you at all. I have worked very hard to come to where righ now and I'am and I donot need a person like you telling me that I donot speak intelligent enough on a website. THIS IS NOT A JOB INTERVIEW and for your information, I have been offered several positions as a new grad and my education dosent stop at my Bachelor level either. Plain and simple if you donot like what i say or how i say it, then I donot need you reading my post and responding to it and by the way Your opinion doesnot matter. Also I'am very grateful for my job, but i just dont think dialysis is for me right now. That is one of the reasons why i went back to school to have a career and not a job, but thanks anyway

    Hi all
I need some advice I'am a recent graduate from this pass May I have my associates and I'am currently enrolled in a acclerated BSN program I had a problem not finding a job because I didnot have my BSN I always had a interest in Renal and I have been employed at my job for two months and I donot think that Renal (espically in a chronic unit) is for me. I really want to work in the hospital on like a Medsurg or a Tele unit, but becuase i dont have my BSN I'am not qualified. I also fear that I'am forgetting alot of my skills from nursing school becuase I'am a dialysis nurse I really dont do that much but push the same meds over and over again There is really not alot of critical thinking, assesment skills that I have to use. My problem is I make great money as a new grad 28.00/hr and I was thinking that once i get my BSN in a little over a year i would try to get a job at a hospital but I'am not sure if i can use dialysis as experience as a nurse because the hospitals here in philadelphia maybe start their new grads off anywhere between 25-28/hr and i cannot afford to take a pay cut. Please Help also do you guys know of any courses that I can take as a refresher if I'am trying to get into Telementry. I was so good at that in nursing school but like the old saying goes if you dont use it you loose it

Im just a little worried becuase on saturday evening(today is monday) I took one of my husband generics for percocet for this unberable pain i had in my back. I dont know if shes doing a blood test for drugs or something else. I just wanted to know if anybody knows the average half life of oxycodone I did some reaserch and the internet says it can be an average of 4 -5 hours but im unsure and also do you guys know what employers test for when they do a blood test. I'm so nervous and need some advice

    Hi
I need some help as well as some adivse. I'am a recent graduate from Gwynedd Mercy College I passed my boards in July and I cannot find anything. I graduated with my ASN and I'm currently enrolled for my bachelors which will take me a year to complete. The problem with the job hunting is that I have been told no by almoost every hospital in Phila and surrounding area becuase I dont have my bachelors, and I have been also been told no becuase I dont have any experience.I also have been told no by almost every nursing home becuase they state that they dont have it in their budget to hire a new grad without experience. Just recently I have been offered a job at pharmaceutical company working as a call center nurse. The pay is very low only starting at $20 and hour and Im not sure since I'am a new nurse with no experience If I should take this position becuase mainly i want to do the clinical aspect of nursing and i'am afraid about accepting this position as a new nurse. Could you please give some advise do u think i should take the call center job or just keep looking for a position as a clinical nurse

    hello all,
Iam preparing to take my boards in two weeks and it seems like the closer i get to the date, I'am doing bad on my NCLEX practice questions. I have completed all of my kaplan and I was averging high 50's low 60's, sometimes i will get lucky and even score in the 70's. Since i have finished the kaplan i have switch to do question from my saunders cd and iam doing very bad on there. I was told by my kaplan Instructor that you will be safe for boards with just kaplan no other review sessions from other makers. I need some advice, I still do practice my kaplan quesions (the ones that i have got wrong) but i feel like i get the question right becuase i know the answer from me doing it before. My question is should i just keep doing th kaplan everyday even though I have completed every sigle last thing on there and train my brain since NCLEx is simiar to kaplan or should i try to get better with the saunders.I feel like Im ready to take boards when i do my kaplan but when i do the saunders I womder if i should push my test back, and finccially i cant afford that. Im so nervous, confused, scared and sad. Could you please give me some advise, espically for any new nurses out there who took the NCLex recently and also took kaplan. Please help me i would be forever so grateful.
    Thanks so much
