    Thank you everyone for your information. I talked with the DON and told her I felt it wasn't needed for my consideration of the job. She agreed and told me not to fill it out. (Luckily I knew her from a former job.)

    I applied for a new job and part of the hire packet included a medical history paper. It asks about my medical history, my family medical history, even if I've ever had anesthesia. Is this allowed?
  3. Right now I'm doing case management with Hospice....I can see between 7-14 patients a day...but I'm in an ALF...they're all in one place...but that allows me assessment time, wound care, teaching, med reviews, MD calls, etc. I feel as if I'm comfort...

  6. My friend is very lucky being that she is at one ALF all day long. The patients are usually post op teaching, insulin/accuchecks, weights, etc....but the nurses in the homes usually are managing a LPN (who is IV certified, does insulins, dressings, ...
  7. I've had patients on Hospice who have actually been discharged from our services because they've gotten better...or no longer meet our criteria (life expectancy of 6 months or less.)
