   I know this will sound crazy, but I actually spray my scrubs with lysol before I even enter my car. I actually do this between patients so that I don't spread germs from one house to another. (I do hospice care - pre-nursing)

   Go for it! There are lifts to help in moving people. I also left my corp job after 11 years and I will be 40 very soon. I help out at a local nursing home and take care of my disabled sister, it's very rewarding. Just be sure to take care of yours...
