Hello, I just received my nursing orientation schedule, and I have a med test & an IV push test. We weren't allowed to push drugs during my clinicals, and this is my first nursing job. I have no idea what to expect....any ideas? Thanks!
Anyone know what to expect in terms of the math test during hospital orientation? Do they do review or just pass out an exam? Any examples? I hate surprises, and I want to be prepared. Thanks!

Hi everyone, One thing to keep in mind - your prereqs will need to end prior to the start of the program. The program is starting earlier this year (1st week in May), so hunt around for classes that end in April, otherwise I don't think you will be ...

Hi everyone, I'm in the MGH ABSN program and I love it. It is intense, and you have to be motivated to do well. It's very fast paced (which you have to assume in order to be done in 13 months). The faculty is awesome, and very supportive. Be prep...

Hi, There were almost 400 applicants this year for 50 spots at MGH IHP. At the Curry open house they told us that there are usually 250ish applications for 30 spots. Good luck!! There is a new accelerated program at UMASS boston as well.

Hey guys, When did you get your award letter? I haven't received anything yet. I'm curious to see what it looks like. The first come first serve line in the email that we received makes me wonder what is going on...thanks!
Hi, I've heard that a few hospitals in MA provide tuition remission for nurses. Does anyone know which hospitals do & if so, what the programs are? Thanks!

BSN - thank you! Yes, would love to chat about p/t work with you. Did you see that the MGH BSN page has new course description info? The last summer is clinical - 7 weeks of 32 hours per week. That should get us ready to work!

BSN - that's awesome that you can work 16 hours still. I'm a little nervous about not working, but I don't want to take on too much (just yet, anyway).....once the program gets going & I know my schedule, I'd like to work p/t if possible.
