Yes I do, particularly now since I have to work the 4th of July and Christmas again this year. I had to work those last year as well. I'd much rather work the other holidays than work these two, especially since I have kids.

I'm not in Texas, but I now work for a LTAC that has facilities all over the U.S., including TX, and they are phasing out LVN/LPNs. In my area, they have required all LPNs to begin school for the RN and I believe by 2014 all nurses have to be RNs. ...
Don't give up. There are many of us that admire you. Learn as much as you can and do the best job that you can, and your patients and co-workers will learn to respect and trust you. I said in an earlier post that some of my best caregivers were NP...
I have been treated by several NP and I can honestly say that I have received great care from them. They have been right on the money with each diagnoses for me during my times of illness, and I will trust them with my care at anytime. My children ...

This was probably your first mistake, but it will not be your last. Take this opportunity to learn from it and use what you learn in your future practice. Nursing is a job in which you will learn something new everyday. Just be happy that the pati...

That was 2010. The recession has finally hit the St. Louis area for new grads. I know of a nurse who graduated in May of 2011 and just now acquired her first nursing job at a LTAC. I would suggest that you do not limit your application process to ...

Many nurses that I have spoken to have stated that they have had to move on to other jobs in nursing in order to get a decent raise. You may have to do that. You should just freshen up your resume, get copies of your performance reviews, and start ...

So sorry you are having a tough time. My only advice is to keep applying and follow up each application with a phone call to the HR dept to make sure they have received your resume. Maybe try volunteering at the place you want to work so that you c...
Hello all, I am interested in getting a position as a acute dialysis nurse. I have never done this before. I have a almost two years hospital experience working on a tele floor with different types of patients, including those with kidney failure a...

If you have no healthcare experience, I would suggest you apply to any position in the hospital that you do qualify for. Once you are accepted into nursing school and finish your first semester, you have a better chance of being hired as patient car...
