^ Good for you, kyckerz! Ugh - I hope I'd have the same luck as you. I'm still hoping that they're wrong and they still need some more nurses (lol: non-therapeutic: denial)!

But when you sit for the NCLEX, wouldn't they require your passport as an ID? Do correct me if I'm wrong though. I have the same case as hers, everything else is still in my maiden name except for my passport. Thanks!
I can totally relate... Maybe for three months I always end up crying, beating myself up whenever I get home from duty because I feel so incompetent whenever I forget to do something for the patient (and it doesn't help that I don't have any friends ...

When I called them about applying as a staff nurse in AHMC, she told me they have 100 staff nurses in their pool who are ready for deployment. For those who have passed their resume late in January 2009 or in February 2009, they already have their sc...

I called up SLMC-GC for the application status of those who have taken their initial exam on December 2008, and the HR personnel informed me that they have reached the number of staff nurses they needed (meaning they have all the batches for training...

Try to read books about managing surgical instruments (knowledge is power!). And maybe try to research some videos about surgical instruments or being a scrub nurse and circulating nurse, and familiarize yourself with instruments that are needed duri...

I just passed my resume and the photocopies of every certification of training that I had undergone. Considering the volume of applicants, the time of processing might be twice as slow. Just be patient (if you really want to work there), or maybe ema...

Try to find the SLMC website and send your resume there (there IS an e-mail address there - you just have to write in the subject of your e-mail "Staff Nurse Resume for SLMC - Global City," or something like that, to have it sent to the respective HR...

I got scheduled for my initial exam after maybe 1.5-2 months after I passed my resume through e-mail. One has to really wait because so many nurses want to be a part of SLMC. Just do other things (certifications or training) or maybe pass your resume...

I did pass my resume via email, and they responded immediately. The first time I passed my resume was through the guard, but I didn't get any texts from them, so a month later, I decided to pass my resume through email (you can email them through the...

Hi lenjoy! I just want to know... what is your nurse to patient ratio in MMC? How many nurses are there in your station and do you divide work by number of patients or by rooms? You also have nursing assistants and medical clerks (some hospitals are ...

I had my initial screening and the HR informed us of the following steps: 1. Initial exam 2. Initial Interview with the HR 3. Technical Interview with the Nursing Department 4. Computer-based assessment 5. Medical exam 6. NSET And then she tells us w...

So the initial screening was just IQ, personality and clinical exam? No interviews with the HR yet? Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll be in the same boat as you are come tomorrow. Good luck to us!:wink2:

kishy - I think they're still accepting applicants. Waiting could take weeks to months. Better keep yourself busy while waiting for their call (or text). :)
