That is the one thing I do not like about case mgmt. Even if weekend cm staff is needed they still have cm's work mon-fri and then take weekend on call ev 8th week. I prefer 12's - I don't care if they are weekend shifts!

Is there any one coding certification you can get for both physician office/hospital? - like if you wanted to work in insurance/hospital auditing and also, on the side for physician practices.
Isn't it unbelievable how nurses are being treated recently. It seems like companied are trying to go as low as possible with the pay, and scamming us to see how much work we'll do for free.

They have the blue tranlational phones in US hospitals for non-English speaking patients. They are needing us for our nursing skills. It takes a long time to become fluent/conversational in another language, and I'm sure it would take a lot longer ...

Wouldn't it be more cost efficient to hire a couple of translators per hospital, and just let the nurses do their thing, with assistance when needed? Duh!

Not really off-topic, but look at the incident with flight attendant, Steven Slater this week. A passenger cutting his forehead, and not even apologizing. They deal with similar scenarios/abuse.
