I have been an obstetrics nurse for MANY years, and have worked with a few gentlemen (and I say that because that is what they were) who were among the best OB nurses I have ever known. If you think about it, many of the patients have a male doctor....
I have many years as an OB nurse, and have worked with many nurses. Granted, nearly all of them were female, but one of the best was a male--with a wife and three kids. I'd let him care for me or my loved ones any day! :loveya::yelclap:
A small comment on the incision and where it is. Remember--the incision that is important is that of the uterus. Some docs make a vertical skin incision, and a low cervial uterine incision (don't ask me why--I see no rhyme or reason) So, if y9ou se...

Good grief! I've been out of OB for about 8 years, and hadn't used stirrups for several years before that. I had worked in several different hospitals, and with "young" and "old" docs as well as midwives. I guess that we are just more modern aroun...

Not only do I have "DNR" tattooed on my sternum, but I have "no IV'S" on my anticubitals, "no central lines" on my clavicals, "no tubes" on my belly, and "exit only" on my rectum! Otherwise, I will be the sweetest lady---till no one is looking!

Having worked labor and delivery for many years, I have seen many anomolies. We had a cyclops (single eye in forhead) and a mermaid (different hospitals!) Thank God we had so very many healthy kids.
