what to do next?

I know I want to go on to get my Bachelor's and possibly my Master's. I just don't know whether or not to go straight back to school or take a year off. Any suggestions?

I am graduating in May (hopefully) and I want to know if starting out in medical-surgical nursing is the way to go or are times changing since nursing is becoming so specialized? Thank you for any helpful direction!
