    Be persistent. Show up in clinical, always offering to help. Introduce yourself to the floor managers. Get their contact information.

    I would pick option 1. Acute care experience is much more beneficial to gain experience for a psych np program.

    My first job out of nursing school was in an ICU. I do not think you should do either of those programs, as it will will take away from your focus. You should study pharmacology, ensure you know vent settings, make sure you know all of the medication...
  13. I had the same scenario happen to me as a new RN. The nitpicking in nursing is just atrocious. If you found the error yourself and discontinued, and it was never given to the patient, medication returned to pharmacy, I do not understand the commotion...
