Hi all,

Still job searching and actually applied to a position at Brigham and Women's last week. Anyone know what 8D is? The description said it was a surgical ICU but other than that didn't really specify. They had like 4 positions open for nights (variable nights as they describe it). I also applied to 6E, 7EW a coupe of weeks ago- I guess its a cardiac surgery unit (which I'm interested in!) but haven't heard back yet. Anyone work in these units that can provide more information and any positions available. Thanks!

Good afternoon,

I've applied to Brigham and women's hospital for at least four months and they have yet to call me back I feel like I'm harassing them but they still don't give me the time a day I have a couple of friends that work there and they will working there previously as PCA's before they even got positions as RNs which took a while best of luck I am still trying;)

Hi Chapo84. Yeah I figured it would be awhile. Are you an experienced nurse? I have 6 years of RN experience and just looking for a change.

I have no experience!!! I need experience! Is your facility hiring new grads at any chance? I graduated in 2010 but took my NCLEX 3x and passed the third try in July. I can't take it anymore, I need a job ;( anyways Good luck seriously being a Nurse sucks right now!

Unfortunately my hospital isn't hiring new grads at this time. Good luck with the job hunt though! I know I didn't get my first position until 4 months after I graduated and passed boards!

I used to work there as a tech. The 8th floor (a/b/c/d) was all cardiac-surgical, one half was icu one half was stepdown. However since opening the shapiro building they moved all the cardiacs over there (at least when I worked there in '08) so I don't know what what is over there now but it could still be cardiac

I did a clinical rotation there when it was Cardiac but, as umcRN said, cardiac has all moved to the Shapiro building.

Thanks for the responses. Does anyone have the contact information for 8D or 6E/7EW unit??? If anyone has that information you can PM me. I'm trying to get in touch with someone on any updates on any new positions that may be available. Thanks!
