Silly question, but I just wanted to ask.
Im applying for the nursing program at my college for Summer semester. I hear the nursing program is a lot of work and time studying.
You guys find yourself having to work and study a lot that it keeps you from watching sports or do anything?
Summer semester is when the NBA playoffs are and if the Cavaliers are playing that night, that's all I'll be able to focus on, lol.

As an avid sports fan, I can honestly tell you that I refused to open a single book on a sunday this fall. I am an excellent crammer and paper writer, I would do it before or after whatever event I felt like watching. Although, watching texas v 'bama last night left me dragging my ass at clinical today.
Yeah. I would think Football wouldnt have much impact on study time since its mostly on Saturdays and Sundays.
I could just cut back by just watching my teams play.
How much free time do you have on the weekdays though?
Also, the Bama/Texas game wasnt that good. Felt sorry for Colt McCoy.
Alabama was gonna win either way because the SEC is the best conference in college football.
This coming from a Florida fan living in Florida btw.

It should not affect your sports watching what so ever... Don't fall into the BS drama and worry your fellow female classmates tell you about having no life in nursing school because of studying, clinicals, papers, etc... I had a LOT of free time in nursing school and managed to graduate with a 3.7 no problem while being able to watch my sports, fish, and workout.

Lots of time to watch sports...not many classmates to talk about the sports with...
After graduation get a job where you can watch sports at work, on Saturdays I get paid to watch football and my patients are too critically ill to object!

Ughhh
I hate the Cowboys.
Im an Eagles fan and Mcnabb is my favorite NFL player. That game was horrible to watch.
Hard to say who I want to win between the Vikings and Cowboys. I hate Brett Favre.
I was delighted to see the Patriots get beat down hard

Football may be alright, but come March Madness you'll be sure to have a class right when a close game that affects your bracket is on.
I just fill those brackets for fun on ESPN. None of my friends are serious fans or gamblers to set up a bracket tournament for money so I'll be good.
My bracket was busted a lot last year. I like to choose upsets and last year was the year of the chalk.

haha nice thread! but its all about time management! make your schedule and studying around the games!
Thats good to hear.
I do hear a lot of people talking about how you gotta throw away your life for nursing school since its a lot of time.
Maybe some nursing programs are different from others. Im going for the RN program at FSCJ.
I was also thinking this topic could turn into a sports discussion topic, lol.
Crazy game by the Packers/Cardinals yesterday.
heartbreaker for Pack fans
