Well, having just completed my 1st semester of the nursing program, I have found that as a single guy, you are really in (at times) a very weird catch-22 being in a female-dominated student body. Although I definitely do not... Read More

I think I'm fairly safe because she works in Maternity and my rotation is done.

I doubt I'll end up back there for professional reasons.
Then you might luck out. But if I were you I would strive to make sure you have ZERO contact with her at that facility if you try to pursue anything with her... just to be safe.

I was the only male in my CNA class of 18. The ages of the girls were 17-45 (the oldest being 45 the rest in there late teens early 20s) I had no interest in them for one I already had a gf, 2 It was something that I was offered did not have to pay a single dime. I did not talk to a single one of my class mates. The ones in there teens were really immature. caused several problems and talked about the weirdest things during our breaks (a couple of the girls were talking about what they did with a random guy the night before class -_- ) I did talk to the girls in there 20s and the the 45 year old lady and our instructor as well. They were alot more mature (They all had jobs out side of school, I was still attending high school and volunteering on the weekends after my clinicals)

Like stated before rumors do go out if you dont hit on the girls there. All the teenage girls were in the impression that I was gay. That all changed during our graduation. I took my girl friend to the graduation ceremony and well they were all astonished :P

Ill be in the RN program some time in my 20s (hopefully) and dont think I ll date any one from my class. Considering Ill probrably still be with my Gf. A relationsip with a coworker is just blah and pointless imo.

I'm looking forward to the flirting; but I have zero intentions of asking anyone out because that's asking for trouble I think.

Flirting is fine as long as your not dating some one else. Im actually getting in shape for once I get into the nursing program :P I let my self go in my first year of college and just recently saw a couple of pictures of me doing CPR on a dummy when I was fit. I look so dam sexy if I do say so my self LOL.

Even if I was single I thing it would be a little to much to try and date a girl from your program. I mean for one Im one of those long term type of guys I dont believe in a quick fling. Second eh to much of a hassle distraction. I remember when I was volunteering for a biking event a couple of the RN students were there 3 older women and one fine south east asian girl. T_T if the girls in my program turn out to be as hot as her Ima stick with the older women.

Me too... I'm at an age (31) where quick flings are not nearly as exciting as they might have been 10 years ago. Long term is better... with an older girl anyway. Younger ones might be in better shape for instance but to me the immaturity you get in return does not make it worth it at all; been burned by quite a few young ones myself... older is better I think.

As for dating someone in my program... if she's in another section, (e.g. the Day class when I'll be in the Night) we'll see; in my class no way. Imagine breaking up a year plus before graduation. Awkward...

I came across this forum and I know its about dating someone in your class but I think mine is pretty relevant. 3 years ago I started dating one of my preceptors at one of our clinicals and we ended up getting married hahaha. Just saying...

    That wasn't frowned upon?

It wasn't frowned upon. Everyone in my class knew about it. They actually supported it and got her number for me. The good thing is she actually had left the hospital on to work at a different hospital. Btw I was 21 and she was 27. Funny how things work out

Of course yes this is a Male thread, which clearly you are not. No one was asking for your female input here.
