LPN A&P compared to RN A&P?

I just graduated LPN school in April and now I'm currently attending a community college to go back for my RN. I'm doing my pre reqs right now and I'm signed up for a&p 1 next spring...I just wondered if my LPN knowledge will give me a good base for my class. I'm really worried about this class. All I keep hearing is how hard it is and I want to keep my 4.0 if all possible lol I loved a&p in LPN school and it was one of my highest grades. But, unfortunately, I'm a chronic worry wart and stress over these things. All replies are appreciated!

I read this again and I realized how vague it sounded lol to clarify my question: did attending lpn school first help a lot in in your college a&p class? Or not at all? Curious to know!

It's a good basis and you will be familiar with the concepts in my opinion anyway

I took A&P in college before I I did my lpn. Lpn in school is do watered down compared to lpn A&P. it's much harder in college and more in depth.

I don't mind working harder, as I stated I love a&p and science in general, I just wanted to prepare myself for the class. Thanks for all of your replies!

The college course will be more in depth, but you have a leg up on it. I found that I knew 80% of what the professor was teaching at any lecture, so I was able to focus in on the 20% that I didn't already know. Taking the LPN level class first has really helped me retain what I learned. You will be glad to have a foundation underneath you.

It's been a while since anyone replied, but in case someone happens upon my thread I'm going to give an update :) beshacohen got it exactly right! LPN school helped me TONS in my A&P class now. It is more in depth, but I would say I already know about 90% of the material and only had to learn the last 10%. I'm so thankful I had LPN A&P first. I can definitely understand why someone with no previous knowledge would struggle, it is A LOT of info. LPN's have a leg up. But an A is possible for everyone if you put in the time and effort!
