Welcome to our brand-new LPN/LVN Nursing Student forum!

Students enrolled (or planning to enroll) in LPN programs are faced with unique issues that may not exist in more traditional generic RN programs, so a handful of our members felt a separate forum for practical nursing students would be a good idea.

I encourage you to post here for any issues related to your educational journey, such as NCLEX, waiting lists, studying, clinical rotations, nursing instructors, school supplies, tests, homework, prenursing entrance exams, learning materials, etc.

We also welcome the prenursing students who are inquiring about different LPN programs, pass rates, tuition, student loans, scholarships, level of difficulty, and so forth.

In other words, stop by, visit, post, interact, be friendly, and help this forum grow!!!

Thank you so much for this forum. I will be starting my Community College's LVN this Fall 2008!!!! Is there anything I should do to prepare? I have started looking for daycare for both of my boys, one is starting first grade this Fall & the other will start preschool and as for immunizations is there a test to see how many of the shots I need to get? My CC requires measles/mumps, rubella, Tb, Hep B, & chickpoxs but I have had my immunizations when I was little & I also already had chickpox as a child. Sorry so many questions I just have about a little more than 4 months to prepare. I am so excited, thanks again for this forum!!!!

I think this is a great idea - a forum for LVN students.

I want to give a big thanks to Commuter and the rest of the folks who patiently read and answer the same topical LVN questions, what school to attend, how to study, NCLEX questions, what first job to take, etc., etc.,.

I started reading the LVN board last May, began attending school in August, will be a capped senior nurse this Friday. My sign-in name is still a bit premature.

I haven't posted often - but I have found this board incredibly useful = and know that I am not the only one who finds nursing students/instructors overwrought, oh the stress :)

I am so glad there is a special place for use. I just finished pre-enrollment today. And I am so excited about this course. our first day is a month away on the 29th of April. well thanks again!!
