LPN or CNA Advice Needed for High School Student

Hello, I'm currently about to enter my second semester as Senior in High School,

What I have: Hope Scholarship (Covers 4 Year Tuition) 100$ towards books.

Goals: To become a RN > Possibly Nurse Practitioner.

Should I go to LPN or CNA or straight for my RN? I'd be using CNA and/or LPN as a stepping stone for experience.

What do you guys think would be beneficial for me?

BTW, I'm 10 minutes from a college that is pre-nursing accreddited and is currently waiting approval on there nursing program in the next two years.

well Ive worked as a CNA for 6 yrs, and am currently an LPN student planning to go for my RN, you dont have to do the stepping stones. Its provided me a great deal of knowledge and experience, and working in the field. But after the first term in nursing school, the students can apply for their CNA, then they can work as a CNA while in school, and after your first yr, you can probably get your LPN (sit for the boards) then work as an LPN while finishing school. you would probably save time and money just going straight for the RN, and like I said grab your CNA and LPN along the way.

Well put.... Thats what i am doing if you are planning to be a RN right away i would do it like that becasue you can still work as a CNA and LPN while gettng your RN.

I dont know what the LPN program costs in your area but if it is like here in California, I would advise you work as a CNA while you go for your RN. You are young and don't have to rush things. Good luck whatever you decide!
