Graduating next month from a PN program. I am beyond excited. I want to continue on for my online RN, but I have yet to find an honest straightforward answer as to how long this will take. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to go to a campus. I'm basically looking for the fastest way as I have waited long enough to pursue nursing in general.

AshleyBenton, I GRADUATE NEXT MONTH TOOO!! my goodness has this been a long, rough road. I'm in florida and my local community college ASN bridge program which is online but has clinicals is 1 year. I'd start Aug 16 and finish in Aug of the following year. Then after for a BSN your looking at another 18months

Thank you!! Congratulations to you!! This has been in fact a very long road, but will be very rewarding. I'm from CT and from what I have heard online programs are very slim around here. We do have the college network coming in to talk to us next week.

Do you have any pre reqs done for your RN? I did my PN program and took a few courses online to finish off my pre reqs. Also make sure you throughly do your research on the college network. Anyway Congrats and good luck!!

Do lots of research and asking other nurses what they're doing for school. While at clinical for PN I always asked nurses where they went for RN or where they're attending. I am in a technical school so it's 1 year PN program no prerequisites required, yet I attended a community college prior and knocked out all but 3 prerequisites out for RN. The LPN to ADN program is 16 months while an LPN told me about her current program at another school that's 2 semesters (5 classes)! I'm really happy I asked around because this alone will save me a lot of time. So be sure to dig into other schools! I too graduate next month, so congrats to you both!!

Whatever you do, do not sign with The College Network. First off, they are not solvent. There is a thread regarding that. Communicate with the schools directly. Right now, they are looking at my transcripts. Through The College Network, they were wanting me to take everything. They also wanted a lot of money and they want it upfront.

The colleges themselves are accredited. I don't know how long it takes through Excelsior, but that is the way I am going right now. I want to work while getting my RN and don't have the desire to sit in classes or clinicals 5 days a week and work.

Have any taken the NCLEX yet?

@beautifulstar I have not but I did take a pre licensure readiness exam from the NLN and did pretty good. It was like if I had taken the nclex that day I would have passed. We have a NLN live review on 11/3 and 11/4 so I hope to take it shortly after that.

I have my NCLEX predictor test tomorrow!! Submitted my application for the NCLEX today, just waiting to finish school on 10/9

I took my nclex predictor last week. I did very well. I'm submitting my application today and class ends for me on the 21st witb graduation on the 28th.

My last day was yesterday!! My application is in, just waiting for my transcripts to be sent, then I can test.... wahooo. Congrats to us both.
