So I am running off fumes right now cuz I barely slept a wink last night!!

Today was great! Our instructors are awesome. They really want you to learn but they aren't uptight. KWIM? They are very animated and acted like Vanna White everytime they showed us which books we would need..lol..and danced!! They have Blues Clues stuffed animals and book marks everywhere and use that as a sign of something important. Whenever they say its a Blues Clues it means its something important they want us to know. Our day was spent mostly on orientation, both the Dean and our advisor came in and spoke with us. Class time is very laid-back whereas clinicals will be super strict, understandable tho. After lunch we started on Micro, basically reading through the outline in our syllabus and going over the vocabulary for that section we must know. No major homework just read the chapter and study our vocab.

We are suppose to have a quiz tomorrow and we have a Micro test Thursday and a Math test Friday. That should be a walk in the park(sarcasm) LOL. We had some of the seniors and a couple of new grads come by and give us some words of encouragement. We also discovered that after this semester if we pass we can work as PCT or CNA and one of our possible clinical sites hire and start off at $12 an hr.:yeah: I will definitely jump on that as soon as I can.:chuckle Overall the day wasn't too busy they actually let us out early!!! How about that. I am super excited to jump right in!! Well gotta go read and learn some vocab. 65 to start but we all know that's just the beginning of that list!!:D

I start today as well! in about 2 hours ! I can't wait... I could barely sleep either, and I have a ton of butterflies in my stomach. Well Good luck everyone !

I'll post about my first day a bit. Mine seems a bit less interesting than everyone else's. All we did all day, was basically read the little handbook. It said rules and had a calendar with what classes we'll be taking at what time and what day. Everyone's talking about tests and such, and our calendar only states like one a week, no way. Well I think one class isn't listed on there, so there should be more on that. Maybe the meds teacher will give us quizzes or something too. I guess I'll have to wait to find out more later this week. So boring. Hopefully it'll be more fun like yall's soon!

We had our orientation and everything already..so today it was hard core learning. We immediately went into receiving our syllabi (plural of syllabus?) And taking notes for micro and nursing fundamentals. Tomorrow is pharm and psychology.

We have one super awesome teacher, another one that really doesn't explain the info. just tells us to know it..so far. But I don't hold that against her.

No quizzes, only tests that are noted in the syllabus...

TONS AND TONS AND TONS of terms. Like, 20384028340234823048234 of them.

I stay very quiet deliberately so as to not get caught up in games. Unfortunately, people think I'm very funny...whether I'm trying or not. Sometimes it's pretty frustrating. Today was no exception. I did my best to keep to myself but we had to get up and talk about ourselves and I ruined it. My goal is to continue to be very polite and quiet so I don't get mixed up in any problems/drama/politics and pray that I don't get singled out by my teachers too much. I have a lot of personal issues going on right now that could ruin school for me if I don't handle everything correctly, the last thing I need is to make people think I'm a jerk because I'm scared to get too involved while I'm at school.

Honestly, it was my kid's 1st day of school too so I immediately came home, spent a bunch of time w/them, filled out all of their school paperwork and got everything ready for tomorrow and am now doing my best not to crash. Good thing Monday is a holiday. I already need it. lol I'm so weak.

I'll tell y'all what..

That any one of us can make it through this with kids, family work, etc. is amazing. It's part of life and needs to be done, and I don't feel that I'm some sort of amazing hero lady, but man. I give all of you who've ever done this before me and finished a huge internet high five. You so deserve it. I knew it would be rough, but...

:stone

anyway..I look forward to reading about everybody else's first day!!!!

yay we can doo itttttttttttt!

We had 2 orientations. Todsy's wasn't that necc. Tomorrow should be better.

Love hearing about everyone's day!! My excitement has faded and now exhaust is setting in!! I guess this is a feeling I should get used huh?? Keep those stories coming:)

i been in school i week i love it so far even though i have seven test this week!!! i try to be friendly with my classmate, not to burn any bridge cuz you never know who gonna end up in your clinical group or need notes, but i don't get to "clinky" cuz at the end of the day its up to me if i pass or fail school is hard enough without the extra drama
