I am a current student with a GPA 3.6 at LTI in CC Philadelphia, PA. Whatever you do, do NOT go to LTI LPN program. LTI is the worst school ever. I don't learn from the instructors, it's all self-taught. The instructors barely instruct and uses YOUTUBE way too much rather than show you the skills themselves. I can YouTube and watch videos myself.

We NEVER get Simulation-Lab skills at all. The simulation lab is just for show when prospective students are touring the school. The equipment in the Simulation Lab is broken and the manikins fall apart. LTI's focus is learning the content to get you to pass the NCLEX which makes school look good and to meet the state's requirement for the NCLEX pass rate.

You will have to do a lot of work on your own, and figure it out on your own. If you are successful doing it own your own you will pass the program and NCLEX, but will not have any nursing skills other than book knowledge or what you seen on YouTube. Oh, but you will know how to do CNA work, which is the basis of clinical rotations.

They accept anyone into the program. If you pass the TEAS test with their low requirement score and can qualify for Financial Aid....you're in! It's a bunch of ratchet, high school mentality, young CNAs trying to be LPNs.

LTI clinical sites are not good sites at all. The school does not have any academic support services at all....no tutoring. The instructors do NOT want to come in early or stay late to help you, nor do they want to use their lunch break to help you. You're on your own! I totally regret attending LTI and now stuck.

LTI have a bad reputation with employers as being poor.....so finding a job is going to be hard. Most of the students haven't a clue as to professionalism. The school looses clinical sites because of students being unprofessional at the clinical site. The students are hard-headed and can't follow simple directions not to use their cellphone on the floor at clinical.

The only good thing about LTI is that it's a clean school and they do give you enough material to learn, they just don't teach you it!

Wow! And I was going to go there. They are so pushy about applying to their school. I decided not to go there because i did not like admissions rep attitude.

I'm not understanding the statement about young CNAs trying to be LPNs?

A lot of CNA want to further their education.. Not sure why that was relevant in this vent?

I do understand why you're upset about your school. I assume your school is a for-profit school. A lot of them are like this. I just want to point out that you have to be careful with writing posts like this bashing your school. If this can somehow be traced back to you (not sure if it can, not sure if your SN is one you use anywhere else, like Facebook or Twitter) you can put yourself in a world of trouble finding a job (on top of your school rep).

Anyway- I am sorry you're going through that, just remember if you advance to an ADN or BSN you won't have to be associated with that school.

To prism the program is great !!!!! I just started the 15th and the instructor are very helpful , see if you can transfer ( northeast campus )

I graduated from there last year and I totally agree with everything you just said.... Well 99.9% of it. The only decent teacher there is ********. We barely had a clinical site and kept losing them, we rarely had hands on and or any labs, and half of my class failed their boards. Thank goodness that my mom is a nurse and I went to community before going there or else I would have been lost. I swear 98% of those people in that nursing program did not pass that dang teas test even with the low requirement scores there is no way. I did hear that Prism is a better school. Well good luck

Alot of Nursing schools are like this. Something needs to change and it starts with the BON and how the schools have to be run.

******* has given up originally quit half way through our 3rd mod but ended up going part time which has thrown a big curve in everything with class schedule, exams, and clinical so I'm not team ******** right now. The freshman class has two new instructors that actually teach now so they'll be better prepared as the move up but what about the rest of us who have huge knowledge gaps due to the horrible lack of teaching? There's only so much we can teach ourselves.

hi all. im new to this site. I was thinking to go to northeast (horning rd) campus in 2 days just to get the info. im also keeping an option for eastern as well. i tried at prism years ago, couldnt get in. having a mixed thoughts abt LINKN prog, after reading reviews here :)

Oh my goodness I had requested information about that school just incase my first choice didn't come through and the administration has been stalking my phone and now I see why they are all about the money and I'm so glad I got accepted to the school I wanted
