failing
It was the first day. I was not allowed to write on the assessment without her and nurse did it anyways bc she had to. You know I am very sorry about this whole emotional crap I just put out here. I was blinded with anger and still trying to get over it. Not her fault I figuredthat out. I do not want to say anything any more. I know everyone goes through things and i really have no excuse. All i know is i got off the prozac and my outbursts are not suppressed. Apologies

Failed Another Quiz. Feel like giving up.😢
Oh and clinicals..... stay strong... teachers evals will make you go crazy and may make you cry if they see you as weak. All three of mine compared me to the students and I was always the weakest. I hated them soooo much. The first one saw improvement and compemented me like crazy. The last two didnt. You will go on hating them for a bit. Then you will look back and be so thankful for them. You will want to thank them so much. Right now I want to thank two of them for everything they said because they were right. Dont take it to heart if it happens. If it doesnt you are doing excellent. These clinical instructors will give you the most important lessons in life not just nursing. God bless you.

Failed Another Quiz. Feel like giving up.😢
Foundations was a hard class for me and the rest of my class. Some of us were so close to failing. Soo close. Keep going keep studying. When I.look back I couldnt believe how easy it really was. The questions are so tricky. Read very carefully. One word can make all the difference if the answers all look right. Like one question that stumped everyone in my class went like this : which pt needs a focused assessment? 1. Pt came in "for" this diagnosis. 2. Pt came in "for" this... 3. Pt came in WITH this.. number 3 is right because the word " with" and the rest had "for" this diagnosis.

Don't go to Lincoln Tech LPN in Philadelphia
Alot of Nursing schools are like this. Something needs to change and it starts with the BON and how the schools have to be run.

nursing students take stna test
I also would like to be a na to get back into the flow of things after failing at tri-c. Good luck to you

nursing students take stna test
Go be a PCA at southwest or somewhere.. look up jobs. You accually dont need the stna test to be something thats the exact same. They will train you before you start out.

Shy introverts can be great at nursing!
I.remember I had to tell a nurse something I was just standing there waiting for him and the other nurse to stop talking about stuff that didnt involve work. So I just had to step right up and interrupt in a rude way. It deffinitly was not something I would do. I totally stepped out of my comfort zone. They knew I was there waiting for them to finish but kept blabbing. So I went on ahead and said his name like I ment business.. and he didnt take it as if I was being annoying he accually thanked me for helping him out that day. Nursing school/nursing will bring the person you never knew existed right out.

Shy introverts can be great at nursing!
Yes I know a unit coordinator who is accually very quiet:) I work with her kids and I hear she tries to be loud but fails miserably. just like me. But yes indeed quiet shy types can make it to the top! I alway hear my clinical instructors tell me I need to be more aggressive bc you will be a door mat. In a way they are right but not exactly.

Ideas
My school has three semesters. First is learning the basics, second focuses on adult health and third on life span,OBs,peds etc.. All semesters have theory lab and clinicals combined. I think it would be easier to do theory in one semester, lab skills in the second, and clinicals last but with the topics included in each semester. Does that sound a bit easier to you or do you like it how it is? Do you have any thoughts on what could be done to help you and others with the sequences? Your program may be organized differently but this is probably how most LPN/LVN programs are run and also The RN programs.

Study methods of current students/ recent grads of tri-c rn program
I recently read up in this stuff but its mainly how to choose priority. First look maslows hierarchy of needs. phiosological first. (Breathing, circulation, nutrition) second is safety (protection of body, a job, pain) safety according to his theory can also be psychological. Then the rest are important when these are not presented. If there are two of a physiological need then you look for abc.. which one is the one most needed for the moment? Some questions also involve assessments and interventions.. the first thing you do is assess so you pick the one that involves assessing before interventions to be taken.. you will see a pt gasping for air before you give oxygen. Or pt looks like hes having a hypoglycemic episode do you give him dextrose, call the physician or check his glucose levels? Check glucose levels because thats data collected.
