Hello to all the wonderful nurses!!! I just recently was accepted to the LPN program. I am overly excited. My dilemma is the cost. Please tell me of a program that one knows about tuition reimbursement or work study. I have been surfing the internet eagerly everyday with no luck. Please help me find a way to pay for school. I am currently in the state of Virginia. I f anyone has any suggestions please send me a private message. Your help is greatly appreciated. God Bless!!!

Hi Aspiring LPN

The best way is to find a hospital that will send you to school and let you work for them. After you get done with school that way you have a job and they get a great LPN at the same time. That how I did it here in WV when I started out in nursing. Then later they might send you back to school for your RN. Good luck!!

Hello, and congrats,

before I got excepted to the LPN program and here in TN I applied on line and fafsa.com for finacial aid , I don't know your situation and if you would quailify but it is worth a try. I also attended a technology school and my state had a grant just for students that attend technology schools.

Nursing homes also will pay for you to go to school if you work for them, but me myself I don't think I could have made it had I worked. Hope this helps you some. Let me know if you need anything else. AmyMarie

Hello aspiring! I am an LVN student and I went through the federal program for financial aid (FAFSA). They are helping me out with school, well as much as they can. It pays for my books and tuition. Try it out, I hope you find something!

If you have good or okay credit, you might be able to obtain a Sallie Mae loan. This is how I financed my LVN program. If you're interested, visit http://www.SallieMae.com and call the 800 number on the website. They're based in Reston, Virginia (I believe). Good luck! :D
