To obtain a definitive answer, you may wish to place telephone calls to the different hospitals in your area and ask the HR departments if they hire LVNs. In addition, you might want to commute to San Bernardino hospitals if you are desperate to work in that type of setting. Good luck to you!

Here in Kansas (Wichita), a LPN getting on @ a hospital is hard. I had no experience to speak of except for clinicals in the medical field. Try doing LTC or even home health to gain experience and then go. The hospitals that hire LPNs here you do CNA work with the pay also.

I don't know about in your area, but here in mid-mo, I started directly on a telemetry floor in a hospital, then moved to the intensive care unit after one year tele experience. I would highly recommend the hospital setting if you can find a job there. The skills you learn in a hospital are highly important as a nurse, and you will learn soo much more than pn school teaches.
