I am soooooooooooooooo scared ********!! I feel like I know nothing!!!!! I feel blank. I start a job next week, and i am petrified!!! I mean I will be on orientation until I get my license, but still!!! I will be in charge of 3-11 shift, almost 60 patients! its a Nursing Home. I am just really scared.

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Congratulations!!! It will come to you and not only do I think it is natural to be nervous I would be really worried about someone that wasn't. Keep us posted.

thank you so so much. so....its normal to feel like this? they told me to walk in there confident, but um, about what????!!!?!?!? i dont know anything!! arghhhh!!! i guess this orientation will guide me through. i just dont want to screw up!!!

Congratulations on your first job!! I too just recently passed nclex and feel like i'm losing/have lost all skills/knowledge since I graduated...so I'm hoping that it's normal?! Best of luck and keep us posted!!

actually i havent taken the nclex yet..they hired me to compete orientation, then once i get my license go full time. i just registered with pearson vue today (i wouldve done it earlier but i was confused about the process) just waiting on my ATT..where does that come from? how long does it take?

i can definitely relate to feeling like i don't know anything since i graduated over a month ago. i did really well on the tests we were given to predict if we will pass NCLEX but as i am studying i'm quickly losing that confidence. i can't even imagine trying to start a new job on top of that. hang in there though! we'll make it.

i got my ATT at the beginning of this week. it took about a month to get here.

Oh sorry I misunderstood!! I wish I had had the forsight to secure a position/apply for temp certificate prior to sitting for the NCLEX! I live in Wisconsin...I kept watching the state website for the completion of my application...within an hour of that, I received my ATT (though I graduated May 9 it took until June 13 for them to review my app and approve) and I sat for the test June 28. I too agree that the process is confusing and wish that it would have been covered a little better prior to graduation--but now I know for next time (I'm on wait list for LPN to ADN program). Again best of luck!!
