I need CME/CE Medscape help.

Hello. I have to do 30 CE in California. I found Medscape.com and I like the articles and I did two CME/CE credits. However, I have a problem. When I view my certificate it says:

Awarded

0.25 contact hour(s) of continuing nursing education for RNs and APNs;

Shouldn't it say LVN? I'm just concerned that these credits won't be right and I don't want to waste my time on these if these aren't approved for LVNs.

I'm sorry, I'm new at this. This is my first time doing this. Also, what should I do with them once I'm done.

You need to keep track of your CE in case you are audited. This will be recorded in your medscape profile. You probably don't need to actually submit it unless asked.

You need to check your states BON website. Those hours are probably fine, but you need to verify it yourself.

​Some states will not accept CE that has fewer than 0.50 contact hours; another reason to check with your BON.
