Horrible interview!!!

Ok, so today I had two different inteviews at the same hospital. I am telling you, it was absolutely terrible. I am an LPN student (graduating 10/02) with NO medical experience; so even getting an interview in a hospital is a big deal. So 99% of the questions were "so tell me when . . " "Give me an example of when this happened with a pt", all of these open ended situational questiions that were absolutely impossible to answer w/o any experience. I tried my hardest to apply them to my clinicals but I could only do so much. I don't know, I just wanted to scream "I AM A STUDENT, I HAVE NO IDEA!!!". I really clicked with the first two ladies but wasn't feeling two hot with the last interviewer. Oh well, I guess we will see what happens. All I can do is pray!

Since you are interviewing for an entry-level position, I wouldn't worry about it - good luck.

These open-ended situational questions can be answered with meticulous analytical skills and critical thinking. While the healthcare experience might assist an individual with answering these types of interview questions, it is not always necessary. I suspect that the interviewers wanted to see how you think, process information, and handle diverse situations.
