Nurses LPN/LVN

Does anyone know which cities and states are hiring LPN's for full-time work? I can't move right now but would like to know which cities and states have full time jobs for LPN's. Thanks :)

Hi from CT, I know that the Hospital of St. Raphael's in New Haven hires LPN's as do almost all LTC facilities. Masonic Home & Hospital in Wallingford, CT also does. Where are you from? :)

Specializes in LTC, sub-acute, urology, gastro.

I'm in NY - Rockland County, approx 30 mins. away from NYC. There are NO shortages of opportunities where I'm at - LTC, home care, hospice, MR/DD (just to name a few) plus a decent amount of hospitals hire LPN's too.

Thanks. I live in eastern WA and there is only one full time job advertisement in the Sunday paper for LPN's today. I'm stuck here taking care of my 83 year old mother for now. In the future, when Mom goes to heaven or is totally out of it mentally I want to leave this place immediately. So everyone please check your Sunday paper today and let all the LPN's here know where the full-times jobs are. Thanks so much :)

Thanks all. I've never been to CT. I love NY and Las Vegas. I have heard it is very expensive to live in NY. :)

Specializes in Hemodialysis, Home Health.

Va. and N.C continue to utilize their LPNs quite extensively.. lots of fulltime jobs for LPNs in these two states. :)

Specializes in LTC, sub-acute, urology, gastro.

NY is great! The area I live in IS expensive (average priced house is $350,000) Unreal, huh? There are counties that have more affordable housing that are within a reasonable traveling distance though so it might be worth it to check it out! Good luck!

I am not in the nursing field yet, however one of the aspects that has me wanting to go into nursing is the job opportunities. Check out 'Tennessean.com' It's a local newspaper that includes the Nashvile area. NUMEROUS jobs to be had, some great schools in the area, fair priced housing, and southern hospitality :)

Hope this has helped.

I am in Cincinnati Ohio and work at a small hospital. We need LPNS!

Most of the hospitals have gone with all RN staffing, but a lot of the smaller hospitals are using a lot of LPNs. We are cost effective and very good nurses!

I've heard Texas is a very good state for LPNs and my husband and I plan to take a pre-retirement sebatical one of these days (when my dad has passed). Does anyone know about Texas?

Thanks all for the information. This is great -Now all the LPN's will know where to go for full-time jobs. This is all very helpful for all the LPN's to know so please keep adding on messages. I have heard good things about North Carolina. How is the summer weather in N.C.? :)

I live in NKY and am waiting on my ATT, I want to get recoprocity in OH and was wondering what hospitals in Cincy you were talking about. I don't have a job as an LPN yet, but as soon as I get my ATT I can start working.
