Cities and states with full-time jobs for LPN'S.
I am not in the nursing field yet, however one of the aspects that has me wanting to go into nursing is the job opportunities. Check out 'Tennessean.com' It's a local newspaper that includes the Nashvile area. NUMEROUS jobs to be had, some great schools in the area, fair priced housing, and southern hospitality :) Hope this has helped.

Dumb stuff done in the past...sitting the NCLEX
I hate to bother you with a question that may already on the boards, but....Are there disqualifiers that would prevent an individual from sitting the NCLEX? I want to get into nursing after I get out of the military, however I do have a police record. I do not have any felonies. I was honest and up-front with everything when I joined the military. I have now been in service for almost 4 years and currently hold a SECRET clearance. None of my offenses were of a violent nature, and offenses are over 5 years old. It will be at least another 1.5 years before I could even think about taking the NCLEX. I have not been able to get ahold of TNBON yet. I have numerous supervisors that have volunteered to write reference letters for me. Sorry for such a long post, but I will be returning to Middle TN soon and want to join the nursing community. The big problem is I don't want to spend the money to attend a nursing program then come to find out I can't even sit the NCLEX. Any advice is more than welcomed. Thank you. Very Respectfully, BStephens

Need Info Please
I am currently active duty military and would love to enter the nursing field as an LPN when I seperate. I am stationed in OKC, OK but I will be moving back to the Nashville TN area upon seperation. Problem is I am finding it extremely difficult to locate any schools that offer LPN programs. I know that there has to be a school around Nashville somewhere, I just cannot find any information online. I want to ultimately pursue a BSN, but would like to get started with an LPN licensure. If anyone has any ino they can share, and or suggestions for me about entering the nursing profession please respond to this thread or send me an e-mail(my address should be visible). I have had the basic first aid cousres and CPR offered though the military, I think being able to help people through nursing would be a great experience that I look forward to getting involved with, just need some help getting started with the first baby steps. Thank you in advance for your attention and response(s).
