Specializes in awaiting for Schedule A visa...

I received this e-mail saying:

Hello,

This is to update you that the UCSIS currently requires nurses to have

a Visa Screen certificate prior to filing for the I140 petition. The

certificate is acquired when passing the English and CGFNS exam and/or

the Nclex RN Board exam. You may apply for the Visa Screen certificate

online at http://www.cgfns.org or please contact me for an application; I will gladly forward it to you. It's my pleasure to assist and guide you in every

aspect.

I'm here to provide you with support towards every step of your

process.

Best Regards,

IS THIS TRUE?

Specializes in ER/Trauma.
The certificate is acquired when passing the English and CGFNS exam and/or the Nclex RN Board exam.
I somehow doubt this.

the visa screen certificate is needed when filing the I-485 during an Adjustment of Status for foreign nurses in the US BUT is NOT necessary for I-140 filing for consular processing (those nurses outside the US) but will be required during interview at the US embassy in Manila.

Thanks, Jon..that's what I know too. I think this agency is fooling me to make certain that I have Visa Screen before they petition me. Thanks God, I didn't sign the contract yet.

Geeez, I have received the same exact email from an agency....but just to let you know, I am not signing up with them. Thank God to all the information thats available here. :balloons: Cheers ya all!!!

Hello. :)

The USCIS recently reversed it position regarding that VISASCREEN requirement for the AOS: Please read the Int'l forum.
