4 years waiting is too much...I don't believe that US Gov't will allow that to happen...the longest I am seeing (like a crystal ball) is 7 months and the earliest is 3 months...

(regarding Ielts, it's good I got a better score in Listening and Speaking to get an average of 6.5)

If the new congress after November will act on it immedaitely then you can find your self here with in a year. Let us pray that the American Hospital Association will lobby again.

Last Aug. 31, somebody (a nurse) from Houston testified before Congress about the looming nursing shortage once retrogression takes affect....I think most congressmen are sympathetic but are still playing safe because there are also anti-immigration forces threatening not to vote for them....so the safest position for them is to become SILENT until after the election....

Even their plan to insert some "enforcement only" clauses lost on the floor (which I think it means those who opposed it are pro-comprehensive immigration bill, which we, foreign nurses, wanted to pass asap).

Not sure what crystal ball that you are using, but the entire House of Representatives is up for re-election, meaning that nothing will be done until the new House is sworn in...............and a big section of Congress is also up for re-election. And that will not happen until mid-January.

Three months up without anything. Then when the House of Representatives and Congress reconvene, there will be many more pressing matters that need to be handled first. Visas for nurses are not at the top of the list right now in the US.

And once they do come up with something, the visas do not become available overnight.................another few months are thrown in to the mixture.

You are looking at next summer at the earliest. And really the earliest.
