Question of reciprocity from cali to new york??

i just want to know how the process of reciprocity from california to new york will go about?

coz i have applied for NCLEX-NY over a yr ago and due to some problems, my eligibility is not with me yet. and i am not sure if they will still give it to me or for how long.

i am kindda pondering on the idea of applying to NClex eligibility in California. coz the process there is faster. i am just curious what will happen to me if i passed the Cali state board and would want to work in New york. how will the process go?

I am just in a bit hurry coz my IELTS exam will expire in a year and i have to apply for visa screen before it does.

SOMEONE PLS HELP. THANK YOU

I think we have the same problem DETTE. I believe that it is NY BON that is strict not the CGFNS-CVS.The CGFNS-CVS even finished reviewing my papers before the Retake of Tests 3 & 5 took place. The CGFNS already mailed my reviewed forms to New York last May 2007..(before the retake)..But until now, NY-BON isn't finish evaluating my reviewed forms from the CGFNS.I emailed them and told me that I have to wait 4-8 weeks before they can give the result of the evaluation to Pearsonvue, so that Pearsonvue can give me my ATT.8 weeks passed and it is more than 4 months, I still don't have an ATT.

My friend who's also from batch June 2006 called the NY-BON because she has not received her ATT yet, asked about her status and they just told her that they are not "anymore" accepting batch from June 2006.She asked if she can get her application fees back, and they said no.I didn't believe her at first but I wondered why they don't answer my email messages and why they are not informing me about the delay of application of batch June 2006.

The CGFNS-CVS informed me that it's now all upto NY-BON if I can possibly have my ATT asap..As to Pearsonvue, they told me that they are just waiting for the NY-BON to release the result of my reviewed forms, so they can finally issue my ATT.

Anyway, tonight (Phil Time) I will call the NY-BON and ask about the issues..

Please kindly share on this thread your discussions with them if ever you successfully contacted them. Thanks.

What you are not understanding is that just because the CVS was completed, it does not mean that it was favorable and that is what you are not understanding. The CVS is not a review of anything, but specifically that CGFNS received the documents after they asked for them. It is not a credentials eval like the CES, they are completely different.

Many of you are under the impression that it is the same as the CES, but that is not true. That is the main reason that the CVS cannot be used for states that require the CES, there has been no evaluation done at all.

i didn't declare that i have a license here in the Phil. because when i applied for the eligibility last year i didn't had my license yet. so i don't know if it involves being a June 2006. i also have a batchmate whose a JUNE 2006 passer as well already got her eligibility. Only a month after CGFNS mailed the NY-BON about her CVS. maybe also because she didnt declared that she is a June 06 passer.

As for my application, i received yesterday a mail from NY-BON that i have to mail them my Original transcript and Copy of my diploma straight from my school and i am mailing it to them on monday. of which they will receive after 3 days.

I dont understand what does pearson vue has got to do with this??? meaning you alreaady had ur eligibility and you applied for ur ATT? is that it? or you registered to pearsonvue while you havnt received ur eligibility?

If you had tested and written the June 2006 NLE, and were waiting for the results, then the delay was on your side. Anytime you write a local licensing exam, it needs to be reported; leaving it off since you did not have the actual license is pushing it.

Remember that when you apply for things, and list things on applications; all information must match up. Including the fact that you will be applying for the Visa Screen Certificate and will have to submit an application to them with that information on it. That will usually raise red flags as well.

Same thing with all of the information that is on any immigration document, or petition; all is going to be verified to make sure that is matches up.

CGFNS for the CVS is usually where the delay is; once NY recieves it, then it is just a few weeks before they will grant permission to sit for the NCLEX exam. But if the CVS information does not meet their requirements, then they can add a delay into things.

The issue with the NLE exam from June, 2006 was on the part of CGFNS; not the BON for NY.
