Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

If it is true it may be that they have an allocation. Do you have anything to support this i.e. a link?

No country has unlimited visas that they offer. Just does not happen and sooner or later, the ones that have more applicants than they have visas put things on hold.

Where did you hear about this? Reputable source or a friend of a friend?

Have you seen anything put out by the NZ government? Would look for their documentation on it.

Thread moved to the International Forum since it has nothing to do with working in the Philippines. Please refer to the red banner at the top of the Philippine Forum for more specifics about this.

What kind of visa is currently on hold? Do you mean visas for HCA students for NZ? Please be more specific. and a documentary proof should support your statement not just rumors. Best thing to do is to contact the NZ Embassy in Manila and verify it .

i am recently applying for NZ HCA/nurse and my agent told me that globally, NZ is holding the releasing of VISAs but it won't take long time.

it aint true that it is a global problem. it is only for the Philippines, because probably the NZ embassy realized that there are heaps of Pinoys wanting to study HCA/ACE that are being taken advantaged of agencies. Bear in mind that its not easy to pass IELTS in NZ and NCNZ now requires applicants to be a graduate of a 4 year BSN degree. It will be harder now for HCA's in Nz to apply for NCNZ registration if you're a second courser.

You dont have to study HCA/ACE to get a job in New Zealand.

Isn't NZ a small country with a small population? Their capabilities of intake of foreign nurses is limited.

There is no country in the world that has unlimited needs for nurses, all have a limit as to the number that they can take in a certain timeframe.

This includes Canada, Australia, as well as the US.
