Remember that there will be 300 students taking the "unnecessary course" now and they will be all ahead of you in the waiting for the cap for that school. There are only 30 students per CAP intake , do the Math. What are you going to do after the 6 mos course? What kind of visa will you apply after the course.? It is not easy to look for a job in NZ nowadays if you dont have the skills.

now you are given 18 months to complete the CAP. no extensions given. According to NCNZ website, it may take you 12 months or more to get into the CAP programs as demand for slots in the program is high.

The original article investigated that you could buy a diploma in the PH from fakers for a couple of bucks... Now that is a diploma mill...Same as in the US where you could buy a diploma for a couple of bucks over the internet (they are more tech savvy)..that is a diploma mill...It means that they did not really attend school for 2-4 years and all they have to show is the diploma they bought onlineThey The non-performing schools in the PH is a different story after all... If that is your definition of a "diploma mill" so be it...Maybe you could start a thread on that one (or there are already heaps of threads here)... Most are legitimate schools, its just that their students are performing poorly and not able to pass the NLE...They did attend school for 2-4 years...its clear to me that it is different from just buying a fake diploma .... If I may join the converstation...Why do you need stats?. Well its probably not all who uses fake diploma in the US are fired "ALL the TIME" because they are not yet CAUGHT using one anyway...I think I posted some links on page 2 to show that the diploma mill problem is not endemic to the PH...its happening in the US too... And besides what is the real intention of the original poster? Are there any PH educated RN in the US of A caught using a fake diploma ? The original article posted by LatinaVN is about the "diploma mills" in the PH , I posted some "Interesting links" above to different articles of Diploma Mills in the US too which decreases the value of the education for some Americans (whether you are an RN or any other profession). I guess the diploma mill controversy is a problem shared by many nations in the world.

I guess you are not a happy customer , all along I thought with the supposed "contacts" of your agency it will expidite the whole process, but hey they were not able to do anything(as you said) -- its probably more of a gimik to entice more customers to use their services . well its a matter of personal choice. but why sign up with a consultancy firm to facilitate registration and enrollment, when in fact one can do it by himself. Everything we need to know about Nursing in New zealand can be found in the internet . http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz , http://www.immigration.govt.nz and the respective sites of CAP schools.

there is no link at the ncnz website. you have to email the NCNZ directly and ask them if they will accept 2nd courser/shiftees. They are in the best position to answer your question.

try to visit the nurse2nz.forumotion.com Nurse2nz forum. Heaps of 2nd coursers were denied last June 2008. Try to email the NCNZ yourself and ask them if they will accept 2nd coursers. Goodluck

1. you can follow up your papers/application with NZ Cap providers. They are just an email away. 2. you can pay your CAP fee via ANZ bank in Makati or thru your bank if you have a dolloar account. 3. you can ask your CAP provider to arrange for a shuttle bus/ pick up service for you. All you have to do is pay 80nzd approximately 4. you can ask your CAP provider to arrange for your accomodation in NZ. via hostel or homestay. (just pay a minimal booking fee) 5.
