As most of you know I am trying to write my dissertation, (emphasis on trying), and I have just learnt that in my lit review I need to include the number of hits I got on a specific website/ search engine.

I used nursing standards website (http://www.nursing-standard.co.uk) but now my membership has ran out, as I no longer subscribe to the journal.

However I am still and RCN member, If I re-run the searches to get the hit numbers on OVID will it give me the same hits in Nursing standard, as the nursing standard web page?

I hope someone can help me! I am regretting cancelling my subscription, but I was tightening my belt and thought I could always start getting them again, if I make it as far as getting registered!

I know this may sound a really silly question, but I am very stressed, and my supervisor is anal and will probably check!

Oops my bad... I din't just use Nursing Standard... but that was the only one I couldn't sign back into.

I also used Blackwell-Synergy, CINAHL, Scirus, Cochrane Library, BMJ and Nursing Standard!

and I had to repeat all my searches, with all the different terms used to get the hit numbers, so I could put them all into a nice pretty table for my suprevisor!

I did cheat though... I had to use OVID for the Nursing Standard search this time, so I wasn't too sure if it would give me the right results.
