I recently passed the nclex this month and I am having Trouble writing my resume since I don't have work experience in nursing field. I have a lot of non nursing working experiences that Willing to give up. :sniff:

Since back in the Philippines i mostly assisted in Intra operative nursing care (OR & OB) when i was student and since it is a national requiremnt before taking the local exam (NLE). I want to focus on applying in these area but the dates and clinical instructor might mislead my employer. I come across to this ...

and stated " it is acceptable to include experience that is not paid since this section is called professional experiences and not work experiences" what are your thoughts?

And most importantly can I give references/ names from the Philippines? International phone numbers? ( I don't know anyone here in US except for my husband!:D)

Thoughts, opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you:)

wondering why you can't get hired or promoted: resume + interview hints!

issue you will also need to address is immigration status if not a us citizen in your cover letter.

i agree with spongebob6286. i had a lot of friends who had no work experience and just put clinical rotations. i had a lot of non-nursing work experience and put the clinical rotations plus the non-nursing work experience but in the end the nurse managers didn't seem very interested in it.

atleast they can have an overview of the skills u already knew and some things u need to learn

Hi katmo...
