New Grad moving to Switzerland...Not sure how to go about doing that...

Hi! I'm going to be a new Grad with a BSN and I have recently seriously thought about moving abroad to Switzerland after graduation. I am going to stay in the United States and take the NCLEX for my license, however, my ultimate goal is to move abroad before the end of 2014. I am unsure how one goes about getting certifications as a nurse in Switzerland, does anyone perhaps have an answer? I'm not sure where to get the information about taking tests, visas and working permits. How do I figure out what I need to have (as far as experience and paperwork) before I can be a nurse there? Thank you!

One of the basic requirements is you have to speak either German, French or Italian.

Switzerland is incredibly difficult to migrate unless you are marrying a Swiss citizen or very, very wealthy.

Start with the Swiss Embassy.

Good luck.

If you want to work in Switzerland you got to get your degree recognized by the Swiss Red Cross, then ask the Canton's Health administration the documents needed in order to apply for eligibility. An other possibility is to apply directly to a hospital or agency> The agencies take care of all the paperwork needed for you as immigrant. One thing remains common in all countries: you better get some experience BEFORE applying abroad. And another thing you got to keep in mind is that nursing sometimes differs a LOT from nursing in the USA.
