Hi Guys! just cusious if you have taken CGFNS? I have read and heard that you do not need CGFNS to work in the US..is it true? MY niece is planning to work in NY. She passed the NLE DEC 2006 and she is confused whether she should take CGFNS or just take CNLEX? Also don't know any good review center in Manila as she live in the province. Would appreciate if you could give me any info regarding my questions.thanks

I think NY is not a CGFNS state so she only needs to take the NCLEX but it requires the CVS (Credentials Verification Service) which CGFNS will handle.

A VEP is a visa, but it is limited to three days only and still needs to be applied for. You do not need a US tourist visa for Saipan, but you do for Guam.

Saipan only needs the VEP. Most major travel agencies will handle that for you for an additional fee or is part of their package already.

You may also do it yourself. Giving out the VEP has no fee in itself but will entail you to submit necessary req'ts to them yourself. They prefer that you scan and e-mail them the documents as an attachment and they will also hand out the VEP via e-mail. You can contact them personally and inquire and ask for assistance but be straight forward to say that is is only for purposes of just taking the NCLEX exam as they will waive the affidavit of support or sponsor as you will only be there for a few days. Some of the req'ts are the ATT, NBI clearance (purpose: travel abroad) and a proof of intention to travel to Saipan to be given by the airline or travel agency so you will have to always coordinate w/ the airline or the travel agency.
