Hi, Sim;I'm an RN ;signed up for this site just today.Have you considered associating with a support community of people from your country and
that they might be able to guide you to employment opportunities?

    Hi,
I'm sure you will get a lot of help from this site. However, you will probably need to post more info about your situation, what your nursing status is, if you are already licensed in the US. Tell us some more

You still need to be much more specific. What type of Visa are you currently on? Do you actually have a hard copy California license, meaning that you have a Social Security Number, or did you receive the letter that you met all of the requirements except that. If you do not have a hard copy license in hand, Texas will not be able to endorse you over first of all, since you do not have a CA license issued.

What specialty do you have experience in? How many years?
Which country did you train in?

These all make quite a bit of difference, perhaps not to you, but to the hospital or agency that will hire you.

Same as Tina posted above, you need to be much more specific before we can really offer any help...........

You still need to be much more specific............where did you train? Which country are you from? I actually lived in Thailand............
If you have experience in all of those areas in just three years, then you do not have one year specific expereince in one area?

There is a big difference in the training in the different Asian countries, that is why I am so particular in asking.

Sim I see that there have been quite a few responses and questions since I first saw your message.
Even in the US,there are different approaches to care as well as qualifications that are demanded by employers. What do you consider your area of specialization,an area in which you have the most training and
experience? What type of nursing license do you have in this country?
I'm seeing terms in the other responses that I am unfamiliar with. Have you
contacted the Board of Nursing in Texas, since that seems to be where you
want to practice? I hope you get the help you need.
