Hi Suzanne, important questions about NY application

I believe that applying in New York is the best choice for me. I just need to clarify some matters,Suzanne. :-)

The requirements for the NY application are the CVS and Form 1. So the Visa Screen will be submitted AFTER passing the NCLEX ? Or should the Visa Screen be submitted with the CVS and Form 1? Because from what I understood on their website, they only mentioned the Visa Screen for those who want to apply for the temporary license. My concern is to be allowed by the NY Bon to take the NCLEX.Please clarify.

And Ms. Suzanne, form 1 and the application for CVS should be notarized at the US Embassy ONLY? Can't I ask an attorney to notarize it for me?

Thank you so much for the help. You are indeed a blessing to everyone ! :-)

Contact CGFNS and NY BON. Better have all things done the right way so that there would be no problems.

You can always ask the school as I believe that they have all the dates that you need(education). Remember, form 137 from high school being endorsed to your tertiary school of choice? You can further validate this by going to all the schools that you have attended, but I think it is no longer needed because when you go into college, they have all your records.

i forgot also the dates of my education i juz put the month and year i juz hope it would be ok.

When was your CVS actually completed and forwarded to NY? If it was before you sent in Form 1, you may wish to follow up with them. Have you registered with Pearson-Vue yet? Sometimes the information does not make it in a timely fashion to the other venue. You need to follow up from time to time.

CVS was completed last feb 8 and i've submitted Form 1 last feb 19 and they received it Feb 26.

I haven't registered with Pearson VUE coz i want to make sure that i am eligible to take the exam before i pay.

You may wish to verify with NY that they have received the CVS report, especially since they did not already have a file on you went it would have been sent to them. They usually do not make a file until they have received your application.
