Help/ Nursing Green Card

Hi, can anyone offer some advice. I am an RN student in minnesota from the caribbean here on an F1 visa. I will graduate in December and do my NCLEX in january I would like to live and work here after nursing school. Does anyone know the procedure that I need to follow. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to go thru the Visa Screen Certificate process which is handled by CGFNS. Unfortunately, you cannot begin this process until after you have a final set of transcripts available.

If this is your first degree here, then you may be able to qualify for an OPT, which will alow you to work while you are waiting for everything else to be completed. That must be applied for before you actually graduate, or you will be unable to obtain it.

It will be up to you to find an employer in your area that will sponsor a green card for you.
