Thank you 5cats

after paying the necessary fees for your credentials evaluation and receive the letter or invitation requiring for sec assessment, the assessment in itself, held in mt royal, (based from what ive heard who has taken this was 1) is free of any charge or staffs. the carna on the otherhand require you to have an examination fee.

hi everyone,

I finally decided to join so I can write as well in this forum. I applied for a registration in the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) as part of my PR/SKILLED WORKER Application, and after completing the requirements of the college and the final review was all over, the results of their assessment was that and since I am a IEN - I have to undergo sa CCA. a Clinical Compemtency Assessment : its says it will provide you (nurses)the opportunity to demonstrate that you meet the entry-level competencies in Manitoba, and is completed over 3-5 day period. I have my letter of refferral already and I just have to schedule my appointment with them. It will be hels at Assessment Centre for Nursing at the Health and Sciences Center in Winnipeg.

My question is, is this similar to that of SEC Assessment? jusT that this one is in Manitoba, CRNM?

And does any one have an idea how long is the recent processing time for the PR/Federal Skilled Worker Class Application?

Please

@Chengzz:

I started sending my application to CRNM early 2008 with my Ielts exam (Academic Version). I received my invitation to complete the CCA June 2010. It is valid for one year period. I plan to take the CCA before june of next time. I hope my PR will be granted before that time. Are you taking the CCA in manitoba also?

Hello everyone,

Anyone here would like to give an insight about the triple jump portion for the SEC assessment? the resource/ example they provided was kind of vague and now I am honestly confused about it( although I am struggling on trying to make sense about it). I am scheduled to take the SEC by the end of November and have been using the Canadian RN Exam Prep Guide, and the Canadian fundamentals of Nursing to give a quick recap on the theories behind it. Hoping that all goes well. Is it true though that IENs are ALWAYS recommended for refresher courses? I have never actually met one who actually was given the probationary status after taking it. :)

i'm planning to start my application next year because they changed their requirements now, and they require every IEN to have a proof of immigration before you can start your application. did they ask you to sit for all the topics or its only for 1 topic? that was a long processing, it took you 2 years for you to know that you need to undergo CCA. you can join Canadian Culture & Communication for Internationally Educated Nurses in facebook.
