Need some help guys, need to know about Careglobe and nurses2canada.net,please I need some advise.

by the way, if I opt for the tourist visa...can I extend my stay or change my visa if ever I pass the exam? Or do I need to go back to the Phil to have it changed to a working visa?

Much better to actually contact hospitals in the area you want to live not just rely on the web or papers. Most hospitals require nurses and most will be aware on requirements for foreign trained

I do not think you can adjust your visa whilst in Canada as you need a few things like LMO and medical before they will give you a TWP. I should image documents for tourist visa will be the OK to sit CRNE, proof that you will be returning home. Hard to say really as I am from a country that does not require a tourist visa.

dear gel 18

your situation is just like mine, even i'm looking forward to work in canada , and for this i did contact nurses2canada but now i'm really confused as it is too expensive.

my case is lil different as i have already fullfilled all my requirements for BC registration with CRNBC but am not able to apply for the CRNE as for doing so I need a hospital or employer from canada to sponsor me....i dont know how to do that therefore my application is stuck.

i did approach many hospitals via emails but in vain....did u find any new agency?if so then pleez let me know.....thanks.

Sometimes it is better to send CV to HR and then follow up with a phone call about 1-2 weeks later even if done by email

i have the same situation. sent CVs to health regions all over saskatchewan, since I am already willing to pay my CRNE and grad nurse license. My aunt called me from Canada, and advised me to just go there under tourist visa by showing the embassy my eligibility to take the exam. She also told me, that once I apply there personally while waiting for my exam results, my visa might be changed. I don't know how true, but I am willing to try. I spent so much already for the applications and processing, this just might be my last shot.

All I can do is totally re-iterate the advice Silverdragon has already told you.

1) YOU DO NOT NEED AN AGENCY!!!!!!!

2) Yes it costs for Visa processing etc but it's not too bad because you can come out on a temporary work permit - $150CA & then apply for permanent residency once you are here & know you'll be happy. Also there are re-imbursement packages in some areas. Alberta's is up to $6000.

3) You have to apply to the Province where you want to live, direct, each has it's own College of Nursing & each of those has it's own COMPREHENSIVE website wher you can find out EVERYTHING you need to know.

4) The Canadian Embassy websites around the world also contain a LOT of useful information plus ALL the forms you need to apply for the premits. However, before you get to that point you have to complete the requirements for nursing in the provinces to which you are applying.

5) At the moment Sasketchwan (sorry if spelling is wrong - I know I should check but I should be doing dinner!) & Alberta are the Provinces with major hire drives, so they would be your best starting point.

6) Please be serious about coming to Canada, don't use it because you think it's a good stepping stone to the USA. I admit I've only been here since 24th August but it's a good place, the people are nice & they deserve you to be committed to nursing in their country!

7) You can take the exam on a tourist Visa but you have to leave again once your time is up. The whole process to get to Canada legally takes about 8 months.

hi! i have not started my application yet,but i think u have to fill up the CRNE form and submit it to them and some instruction will follow

Hi there all!!!

Can anyone please answer my queries.......

Is the CRNE very tough, when compared to CGFNS AND NCLEX-RN?

I have the 4th edition of CRNE preparation guide and CD-ROM,will this do? haven't yet started preparing .

Is the canadian nurse re-entry programme really needed for international nurse?

Thanks.

The exam is totally different. If you check out the Canadian forum there are a few threads there discussing it

I'll tell you once I pass! I have the exam on 8th Oct. The CNA prep book is the best - also you can take their on-line readiness test before hand. N-CLEX (which I have) is way more techincal based, CRNE is more about nursing the person - leans heavily toward the psyche-social, from what I hear (& see from the book.)

So each is "tough" in it's own way.
