Hi guys!!! I think I may get stuck in Can after july 24 which means I will have to do the visa screen! Soo I want us all to be able to help each other wtih any info I find the board confusing sometimes to go through. Anyone preped for the NCLEX? I am taking mine in early June as soon as I finish my wedding planning. Although I havent studied yet! I have that NCLEX made easy book which I aslo used for my Can RN's. Okay start the info flowing!

Hi Artis, you need to change your TN visa every time you change your employer. Sometimes immigration will list more than one employer on your visa, sometimes they'll give you a visa for each employer. In my expereince, this just depends on the immigration officer.

TN visas are not difficult to get as long as you're knowledgeable and organized. My quickest visa was at the Canadian border and literally took 5 minutes to get, from beginning to end. My toughest TN was at the Mexico border, and took two days. They put me through hell (don't get me started!). I will never go back to Mexico, for ANY reason, ever again.

could you guide me as i am RN and thinking of moving to USA, i am not a canadian citizen yet holds permanent residency status, how long the process will be for me as i am planning to give CGFNS test in november this year. thanks.

1. You do not need the CGFNS exam, unless you are planning to work in Illinois or Michigan.

2. Please read the sticky at the top of the International forum...............

3. How fast will depend on where you were born, and where you wish to be licensed in the US.

4. Since you are no longer in your home country, the fastest way for you to do things is to follow the steps for licensure in NY, then endorse to where ever you want...........
