Resurrection University Fall 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hi all,

I am new here and have found the forum to be very informational. I decided to start a thread for Resurrection's fall 2012 applicants. I think it would be good to keep in touch throughout the process, so if you have any questions or comments feel free to express them here. I already submitted my application, transcripts and essay, all I need is to take the TEA's test. I'm taking it in February and am really nervous because I haven't even started studying. Has anyone taken it yet? How was it?

I am also applying to 2 other programs:

Loyola's ABSN program

Truman's Associates in Nursing program

I am debating on applying to UIC's GEP program, DePaul's MENP program and Rush's GEM program.

If anyone else is applying to these, please let me know! Thanks & good luck to all.

Ok, it's Monday and we're looking at a 5-day work week during which admissions is bound to give you an answer! Let's send out our positive vibes, starting ......... NOW!!!!!!!!

I have just found this feed looking for others who applied and/or going to resu. I was accepted back in January for the fall term and I am attending the June 1st orientation. Is anyone else attending this day?

YES. I will be there June 1 for registration!

Hello everyone! I've been following this thread for a while and finally got around to posting. Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted and good luck to those who are waiting a response! I too am waiting for a response :( I turned everything in by April 1st but didn't take the TEAS until 4/27. My undergrad GPA is so-so but I have a 4.0 on my science pre-reqs and an 87 on the TEAS. I have a transcipt eval with Juan the first week of June so hopefully by then I'll have a better idea on timing. I have sociology and intro to computers outstanding but I plan to take the CLEP for both and hope to pass. If not, I'm already registered to take those over the summer.

I got wait-listed to RUSH's GEM program so I really feel like I'm in limbo right now.

Is everyone on this thread hoping/planing to attend the fulltime program? or is anyone here going for the parttime/evening? I applied to the evening but told them I'd be open for the daytime. I thought it was either one or the other but it sounded pretty flexible by how it was described to me.

I thought it was either one or the other but it sounded pretty flexible by how it was described to me.

The campus portal shows classes for the upcoming fall term and it appears as though there are 24 spots for e/w and 64 spots for daytime, if the number of spots per class/labs are current and correct. So I would imagine the flexibility only applies while there are spots open in both.

I am doing the daytime program. I am quitting my full-time job at the end of August  so I can focus on it completely.

It sounds like you have a good shot at getting in with the guaranteed admissions, depending on if you pass the CLEPs. Good luck! :yelclap:

I am attending the full time program to be finished as soon as I am able 2.. I wish though they had some of their classes/clinically not at 730 in the morning tho since I have to commute far but it's still worth going here :)

Well that early you'll beat the traffic!

Lol I hope so coming in from Oswego, my car is going to take a pounding though

Has anyone started the requirements or the entrance quizzes yet?

Hi everyone.

I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED !!!! I need now to complete 4 classes in the summer ( Intro to Comp - Micro - Math and Sociology ) I am preparing sociology on my own to pass the CLEP. ( wish me luck !!!) so as to have only 3 classes remaining for the Summer.

Thank you for your continue support !!!

Good Luck to all of you - !!!

Wooo hooo! That is great news! Congrats! I wonder how many spots are left now.I have started the quizzes and they are time consuming to say the least. I've already done the drug test and background check, scheduled my cpr class and physical for next week, and ordered my uniforms. My to-do list is outrageous.

Congrats on your acceptance and good luck with your classes!!! I haven't even started anything yet for resu for their requirements :( what's on their quizzes to be so time consuming and how many are there?? Praytotheunicorn are u still attending Friday?
