  1. Hi PrayToThe Unicorn. Have you been ? well to answer to your question... I got informed about the changes, but it was because I check the resu student email account everyday... it was informed just 2 days ago though...check your [email protected] account... I can't believe we are just 2 days away !!!
  2. Hi everyone, I am enrolled for Pathophysiologic Mechanisms with Osowski and I would appreciate any good advise. I have been following your comments on Patho and I am really scared. I want to do well from the beginning and if I need to start reading from now on, I will do it.. any advise will be so helpful Thank you
  3. Tdang, First of all congrats for taking and passing the TEAS !!! Spring is a very good Option. if I were you I would try to talk to Juan Miranda ( he is a great guy !) and ask him what you can do from your side to be more competitive in terms of admission selections. Maybe you have to take some classes and get A's , may be you may retake the TEAS to improve your weakest areas... ask him and go from there. Remember, you are the one who can help yourself to let things happen...stay focus and optimistic !!!! Good Luck !
  4. CONGRATULATION !!!!! 4 MONTHS LONGER IS NOTHING... !!!! i wish you all the best !!!
  5. I was taking biology 201 at Truman at the time I took the TEAS... and 80 % of the science questions was exactly what I was seeing at biology at that time... I got like 86 in science. I also used ATI study guide... and helped me a lot too... my weakest part was reading since I was out of time. I had 1 minute left and like 10 questions ahead with no answer.... but got 73 average... Truman seems to be much easier as the program is concerned..... but you have also to consider that even though you will be become an RN eventually in both at Resurrection you get a BACHELOR and at City Colleges an Associate...
  6. hey... are you at Resurrection as well ???
  7. hi jvg1229, I am using the same book. If you bought it new, you should have the cd. What I do is to study all the chapters first, I also look at some videos on youtube... Once you finish reading, try the 1st test and see what areas need improvement... to be able to do the second test and improve your knowledge and grade... I heard the book is pretty for this good... I am nervous too...:)
  8. I would love to help you... in my case I am enrolled to take math now in the summer. The only one I am preparing for CLEP is sociology... because I MUST pass it !!!!
  9. hi, If you are going to sit for the NCLEX-RN in June in the state of CA, it means that your Nursing degree from Germany was evaluated and accepted...right ? Once you take and pass the NCLEX, you will be an RN. If your degree from Germany is considered an Associate Degree here... you should consider enter a program RN to BSN ( to obtain your Bachelor).. Now if your degree from Germany is considered here in the US a Bachelor..You are done !! . I hope it helps you !!! Good Luck in your Exam !!!
  10. Hi, I haven't started in the program yet, but I totally agree with PraytotheUnicorn 100 %. I was in another nursing program before, and if somebody thinks is going to be an extension of their high schools or that teachers are going to babysit them... poor souls. I have studied different things in my life. I studied International trade in my country. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpretation (from Miami Dade College) after coming to this country without speaking a word of English, but Nursing has been the most difficult thing I have ever done and the most rewarding one as well. Our Teachers will have the responsibility of changing our way of thinking. It's like the transition from the civil life to military life. I am not kidding. There will be lives out there depending on us...They will be our patients.!!! The hardest work has to be done by "us" on our own. Study. Study and Study. Forget weekends, friends, lovers, .... we will have to put our soul and heart on it. As I said before... Hard but rewarding... Think it again if this is what you like... and when you hear that something is hard.... be happy, it means it's good. !!!
  11. thanks. I am enrolled for NUR3241 already... Thanks for your helping !
  12. Thanks for info. I enrolled for term A TSS001 and Term B TSS001. I just wanted to ask you if you can let me know if I enrolled correctly for all the other classes. I sent the info already. It is on page 7 on this blog. Just to double check.. Thank you !!

  14. Congrats !!! I have been accepted at Resurrection University ( Chicago, Illinois ) BSN program. I was in Nursing Associate Program in Florida but couldn't continue due to a car accident and family matters. ( always in good academic standard though) even my professors called me not to give up.... and look me now... after a year...I am in track again.... never loose faith... there is always something better ahead of us...even if we are not able to see it now...
